For half a century, Fulton J. Sheen carried the Gospel from the lecture hall to the radio and into living rooms across the world, with wit, clarity, and a love of Christ that drew countless souls to the faith.
A priest of Peoria, a doctor of philosophy, an archbishop, and a pioneer of religious broadcasting, he never failed his daily holy hour from the day of his ordination to the day of his death. Today the Church calls him Venerable, and on 24 September 2026 he is to be declared Blessed.

The Beatification
On Thursday, 24 September 2026, in St. Louis, Missouri, the Church will celebrate the Mass of Beatification at which Archbishop Sheen is to be declared Blessed. It is a grace long awaited by those who owe their faith, in some measure, to his voice.
